Another gift was a hand-knitted sweater made out of strands of human hair -- such an unusual and special gift! And all the pieces were a work of art with their own story, a testament to just how imaginative and creative Margiela is.'

The sketches, fabric swatches and handwritten notes provided a glimpse of the thought and work that went into each individual piece Martin Margiela designed.
